Event description:
In chaotic CFTs, there is a regime where the operator product expansion can be approximated by a random tensor network. In holographic 2d CFTs this can be matched quantitatively to higher topology contributions in 3d gravity, and it provides a CFT realization of the holographic map as a quantum error-correcting code. I will describe this construction and show that the black hole interior indicates a subtle breakdown of the Virasoro identity block approximation.
