Event description:
“Relaxed Inflation”
Recently, a new solution to the hierarchy problem was proposed under the name of “Relaxion”. This is a mechanism that relies on the dynamics of a field during the early evolution of the universe and requires no new physics at the electroweak scale. I will review the basic ingredients of the original proposal and present our own efforts to improve it, emphasizing important aspects of particle production during inflation.
