Please join Yale Chemistry for a Silliman Seminar in Theoretical Chemistry with Chris Chipot, Research Director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) at University of Lorraine, and Adjunct Professor of Physics at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Title: TBD
Chris Chipot is a prominent researcher affiliated with the University of Lorraine and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France. He specializes in theoretical chemistry and computational biophysics. Chipot received his PhD from the Henri Poincaré University and has held various prestigious positions, including a postdoctoral fellowship at NASA Ames Research Center.
Currently, he is also an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he directs an Associate International Laboratory between CNRS and the University of Illinois. His research focuses on free-energy calculations and the exploration of rare events in biological systems.
