We are pleased to announce we will be hosting a virtual Equity in the Job Search Symposium on Friday, May 8th, from 10:30am-2:30pm. We hope this mini day of inspiring programming can be a positive experience during this difficult time. The zoom connection info is: https://yale.zoom.us/j/92762545566 and Meeting ID 927-6254-5566. The keynote highlights influential women’s speeches and has a goal of inspiring women to speak up in their careers and I thought this would be of particular interest to the WIP group, and the afternoon workshop by OCS is targeted to STEM PhD students and may be of interest to YPPDO members.
The schedule is:
10:30-11:30am: Keynote “The Secret History of Women’s Speech: How Women’s Oratory was Overlooked and Forgotten” with Dana Rubin
12:00-1:00pm: Social Networking Lunch in Zoom Breakout Rooms
1:00-2:30pm: OCS Workshop “Plan and Manage your Career Development” with Brian Frenette
