QSO triggering in 10^12 solar mass halos, associated with a mental picture of galaxy merging, has encouraged a notation of the crucial role the clustering plays in verifying the evolutionary scenarios for AGN. The conjecture that X-ray phase of black hole activity is a follow-up phase to QSO, requires the bias evolution to follow the well-determined tracks, but the observed picture has proven to be more complicated. Since then, it has been recognized that AGN activity is also triggered by the secular processes in galaxies, which are not associated with the major merger and which contaminate the bias pattern of AGNs. Studies of AGN clustering these days are all about defining a subsample, e.g. it has been shown that there is no strong dependence of clustering on AGN luminosity in the nearby samples. An agreement between the HOD studies using bias and using weak lensing and unification based on the host galaxy stellar mass rules out the strong effect of triggering, compared to the halo mass. Of special interest to modelling of the bias are the satellite AGN, which show a dramatic change in the dynamics when going from groups to clusters of galaxies, which will be illustrated. Finally, an evidence for triggering AGNs in groups due to tidal stripping is presented.
