YPPDO Panel: Panel discussion on Ph.D. summer internships

Join us for a panel discussion of doing summer internships as Ph.D. students in science and engineering. Three fellow students in Physics and School of Engineering with industrial internships will share their thoughts and experiences.

Luyao Jiang is a 6th year PhD student in physics department here at Yale. He works with Prof. Jack Harris on membrane optomehcanical systems. He was a summer intern in JP Morgan in 2018.

Wen Xiong is a Ph.D. student in the department of Applied Physics. She is expected to graduate in 2019. Her research focuses on optics and photonics, especially optical fibers. She joined Corning Inc. as a research intern in the summer of 2018.

Luyao Shi is a PhD student in the department of Biomedical Engineering at Yale University. His research involves image reconstruction, tracer kinetic modeling, motion correction, image processing and analysis for medical images (PET, SPECT, CT). He has worked on computer-aided diagnosis using deep learning as an intern this summer at Siemens Healthineers.
