Yale Physics alum Charles Brown, Ph.D. 2019, who is currently a postdoctoral associate at the University of California, Berkley, is featured in a January 2022 Symmetry Magazine article called “#BlackInQuantum”.
The article focuses on the legacy of Black scientists in the history of quantum physics, including Edward Alexander Bouchet, who was the sixth person to earn a doctoral degree in physics from an American institution (Yale) in 1876; and the opportunity for scientists like Brown to continue that legacy.
