Lilian Childress (Postdoctoral Associate with Jack Harris) has won the 2012 L’Oreal Postdoctoral Fellowship to develop a new optomechanical device based on a potentially dissipationless mechanical material: superfluid helium.
The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program awards five women postdoctoral scientists annually with grants for their contributions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations.
