Welcome to Benjamin Racine who comes to us from the Marseille Particle Physics Center (CPPM) as a visiting fellow working with Charles Baltay and Nikhil Padmanabhan. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Université Paris Diderot (Now Université Paris Cité) in 2014.
Racine is an observational cosmologist, analysing data from several telescopes to understand the evolution of our Universe, from its origin to its current accelerated expansion. At Yale he is interested in using DESI data to extend these studies. He is also interested in studying the imprint of velocity fields in the CMB data, for instance using Simons Observatory data.
