Welcome to Roman Baskov who comes to us as a postdoctoral associate from Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of NASU (Kyiv, Ukraine). He is working with Steven Girvin.
He received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics (Kyiv, Ukraine) in 2021, where his research was focused on the evolution of light radiation in inhomogeneous media and the influence of Earth’s atmosphere on statistical properties of quantum and classical light in atmospheric channels.
About his research Baskov states, “I work on effects attributed to strong drive in circuit QED: transmon ionization, multiphoton resonance, and others.”
