Three papers with contributions from Yale Physics faculty—assistant professor Chiara Mingarelli, associate professor David Moore, and associate professor Laura Newburgh—were awarded 2024 Top Cited Paper Awards for North America from IOP Publishing. These awards are presented to papers in the top one per cent of the most-cited articles recently published in IOP journals with corresponding authors based in North America. The IOP uses data from Web of Science to identify the top cited papers during the period of 2021 to 2023.
The papers are:
-
“The NANOGrav 15 yr Data Set: Evidence for a Gravitational-wave Background” (Agazie with Mingarelli, et al.)
-
“Searching for new physics using optically levitated sensors” (Moore with Geraci)
-
“The First CHIME/FRB Fast Radio Burst Catalog (CHIME collaboration with Newburgh, et al.)
Moore and Newburgh are also members of Yale’s Wright Lab.
