Dissertation Title:
Calibration of Two-Phase Liquid Xenon Detectors for the Direct Detection of Dark Matter
Dissertation Abstract:
Evidence for the abundance of non-baryonic cold dark matter has led to the construction of liquid xenon detectors to directly detect WIMP-nucleon interactions. Traditional external calibration methods have become unsuitable as the size of liquid xenon detectors have increased. In this talk we will describe the development of a source which generates Kr-83m for doping into xenon detectors for calibration.
